Katie and Emmy

It appears that our two weeks is almost done already.  Wow!  That was incredibly fast!  We wanted to share some of their adventures with the families back home.

Of course, this is not Katie or Emmy.  This is Mrs. DePaz and her new son, Saul.  Awesome hair!!

We go to the Depaz familes' home every Wednesday after school.  They have a family staying with them who never learned English.

So we go and work with letters and writing and spelling and speaking English.

Can't remember this babies name.  He is related to the family somehow.

These two were having a great time entertaining themselves, and making us laugh.

That is Lucy looking at you, she is in Standard 1.

This is the Slap Game.  I call out a sound or letter name and the first one to slap it gets to keep it.  And yes, it can get more than just a little wild.

We went exploring.

If you look close you can see us three girls on the steps.

The Blue Hole is just down the road so we took a swim.

It may look like they are drowning but I wanted you to see how clear this water is.

Poor Katie...

We went to the Cayo Market twice.

Carvings at Xunantunich.

The view is amazing!

That is me down on the field.

The sky looked menacing but it never did rain.

Pretty sure that Guatamala is behind Emmy.

Of course they went to the top!  Just like their mothers!

And they made it down just fine.  No funny colored hind-ends like their mothers.

Small Mayan ball court.

We had a great day!  With more adventures to come!

The girls have been holding up well to the heat.  Rainy season officially started but it has been very nice.  Another blog with more pictures on the way.

Love you guys!
